Sense my grandmother moved
in I haven't been able to foster dogs anymore. Well, when we went to volunteer
Thursday, we saw a Golden Retriever there, he was SUPER skinny, it was so bad
that he and his brother would fight for food (not to mention his name was Kujo).
He so sweet, but shy. It was as if he thought you were going to hit him or
something if he didn't stay still.
I had been asking my mom and
dad if we could foster him, I told them I would keep him in the basement. Finally,
the next Thursday when we went again, he was still there and mom and dad let me
take him home. I have been working with him ever sense and he is the sweetest
thing! I don't know who could treat him such! He loves my dog Benny, our little
Yorkie-poo, they play together all the time in our neighbors back yard (we don't
have a fence). However, he does not get along with Berny, our Tibetan Mastiff,
Berny is good with other dogs but he is the Alpha dog, and Cullen (which is what
the Humane So. named the Golden) doesn't do well with bigger dogs, especially
not dominant ones! So, yeah, I figured out that the hard way!
I am trying to get some meat on him and training him, he acts just like a puppy (a big one though).
He still needs a home so we are working on photos of him to put on theHumane So. website.
